I’m new to this whole blog game, but there is a lot of junk-talking (yes, I said it) going around about bloggers not revealing that they’re making a little (or a lot) of money from their blogging adventures. I’m telling you now, I love to write. LOVE. IT. However, in these economically trying times, I am not hating on anyone trying to get that paper. That being said, I do see the point of some bloggers that say people have gotten a little out of control begging for free stuff and constantly doing “the man’s” dirty work on their blogs. Apparently it’s getting out of hand, and bloggers with integrity have had it.
In this era of transparency, I’ll go ahead and let you know this. Being that this blog is new to the bloggerverse, all of the product reviews I do will be of products I’ve actually paid for and used. If a company asks me to review their product(s), it will have to be something that I would normally try for myself or my family, and for me to post a positive review, I have to use it and like it. Some of my textual links (why does that sound dirty?) will be affiliate links, and some will be merely informational. There will also be clearly marked advertising in the form of banners advertisements. It is up to the reader to decide what s/he will glean from this blog. My ultimate goal is to share all the awesome info I find on being environmentally conscious. Making some dough to contribute to the well being of my family, that’s icing on the cake.
I’m not a sneaky person and I don’t like to lie, I’m just not good at it. I’m also human and a newbie, so if I slip up, please feel free to send me positive, constructive criticism. I don’t invite negativity to any aspect of my life, so if you have it for me, kindly keep it to yourself.
I’ve signed the pledge over at Blogging With Integrity just to let y’all know I’m not playing around.
